Custom Wooden Doors

Southern Joinery are established manufacturers of bespoke wooden front doors, French doors and bi fold doors for customers in and around Portsmouth.

There are many different styles of door to choose from and choosing the correct option will enhance the appearance of your building. We are able to replicate and manufacture windows from drawings, photos or sections of an existing or old door. Your doors can be constructed from a range of timbers to suit your needs and we can of course advise on this during a survey.

We manufacture our bespoke wooden doors for builders to install onsite or directly to individual customers. For builders, the designs are often pre–determined but for individuals we build replacement wooden doors and they can be designed specifically. We can provide like for like replacements or offer advice on other options.

Exterior doors will usually be made in hard wood, interior doors from hard or soft wood and bi–fold doors from hard wood. All our timber is sourced sensitively and is FSC certified. You can be assured that we support the call for care and protection of forests and the people and wildlife who call them home.

Door Finishing

All our bespoke doors are offered as 'finished' or 'unfinished'. For direct sales to customers this means that our doors will have been prepared and given 3 coats of paint – or with 2 coats of varnish, depending on the product. We can also provide all custom made doors glazed or unglazed. For glazed windows there is a choice – double glazed, triple glazed, decorative glass, leaded etc.
